This was the perfect opportunity to create a cute, kawaii-style cover with Uniswap’s famous emblem taking centre stage. Naturally, the cover also has a crypto twist as the unicorn spits out bonbons, a reference to Uniswap’s $5 million airdrop once the takeover was complete. The greedy unicorn clutches a soft drink and is surrounded by lots of other delicious snacks, all in the same cutesy style.

We started by sketching out the various elements including the unicorn, the bonbons and the feast. With these rough ideas in place, we moved on to more detailed illustrations, using a soft-hued palette to get the desired aesthetic. Dudley then took the cover to AE, bringing it to life and adding a bopping J-Pop beat!

In keeping with the art style, this cover included Japanese text. Using Google Translate is always a risky business, but fortunately, our friend Arigato was on hand to confirm that the text is correct. The cover also features a hidden Ethereum logo - see if you can spot it.
Gazette explored the outlandish but increasingly likely prospect of Elon and Vitalik teaming up to upgrade Dogecoin. We also looked at alternatives to Metamask, a new collection that pairs Hackatao with Bang & Olufsen and Porsche’s foray into NFTs.

This week’s ArtDrop from Gozde is full of melancholy and desolation. ‘Lost City’ shows a lone figure marooned in a frightening city surrounded by slaughterhouses.
