Last week we saw how NFTs are revolutionizing the creator economy, art, and web3, with Jack Butcher & Jalil at the forefront of this transformation.

The story of ThreadGuy refusing to take up the offers for his Mutant ape took space by storm. How Jack Butcher intervened in a much more interesting manner rather than just offering a PFP caught the attention of the community.

We decided to take this story and run with it. Several ideas were juggled before we settled on depicting the storyline through the grid and Opepens. It was a challenge that we thought would be simple at first but later realized was going to be lengthy. Below you can see the different stages of the animation that we broke it down to.

Even though they look minimal the work involved behind these animations and transitions was immense. In the end, the AE file had above 3000 layers to render alongside music and SFX.

We appreciate how Jack and his team are expanding and experimenting with the possibilities of NFTs and blockchain. We continue to do the same in our avenue.
